Car Stalling When Warm

hi, i got a flashing coil light on my 1.9 tdi and now sometimes when i pull up at a junction she cuts out, and at times is easy to stall (strange for a diesel ?) local garage claimed the speed sensor was duff, wrong ! changed it , still the same, they took it to ford and they think it might be fuel pump related but would rather it went to vw to be checked ! any ideas guys and gals ?

oh well, looks like it was the cranckshaft sensor in the end , just had that replaced and she seems to be back to her former glory ! yipeeeeeeee
